What this site knows about you

Scores, schedules, box scores, team pages and rankings are open. No account, no sign-in wall, and no advertising or tracking cookies of any kind.

We do measure traffic, using Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Those record which pages are visited and how quickly they load. They are cookieless, they work at the level of a page rather than a person, and they do not follow you to other sites.

Sign-in is handled by Clerk. Your password never reaches us — Clerk holds the credentials and tells this site who you are. Clerk sets a session cookie so you stay signed in; it is necessary for the account to work and is not used for advertising.

What we store against your account, and nothing else:

• your email address, your name as you gave it to Clerk, and your Clerk user id
• whether you are a member or an admin
• your theme choice and your one pinned team
• which teams you follow
• the tabs saved in your workspace
• when the account was created

If you are signed out, the teams you follow stay in your own browser. They are held in that browser’s local storage and are never sent to us. Sign in and they are merged into your account; until then, we do not know they exist.

The feedback form stores what you wrote, along with the page you were on and the game, team, season or figure it was about — captured automatically so you do not have to describe them.

It also stores your browser’s user-agent string and a one-way hash of your IP address, salted with a secret, which exists to stop one person submitting a thousand reports. The hash cannot be turned back into an address, and the address itself is not written down.

If you are signed in, your email is attached so we can reply. If you are not, the report is anonymous — and anonymous reports are welcome.

Four companies, each doing one job, all in the United States:

• Clerk — sign-in and account credentials
• Neon — the database everything is stored in
• Vercel — hosting, and the traffic measurement above
• Stripe — payments. Not yet in use: nothing is being sold today and no payment details have been collected. This page will say otherwise before that changes.

CollegeFootballData is a source, not a recipient. We fetch football data from them. Nothing about you goes the other way.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and there are no advertising or social-media trackers embedded in these pages.

Account data lasts as long as the account. Delete the account and the profile, the teams you follow and your saved tabs go with it.

Feedback is kept while it is still useful — a report about a wrong number is worth having until the number is fixed and the fix is confirmed. Ask and we will delete yours, or strip your email from it and keep the substance.

Admin actions are recorded in an audit log, with the admin’s own id and email. That covers people administering the site, not people reading it.
